Restriction of Hazardous Substances

The Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances comes into effect on the 1st of July 2006, at MCC we are constantly striving to bring you the very latest news when you need it most. From this date, producers of certain categories of electrical and electronic equipment will not be able to place on the market products that contain six restricted substances unless specific exemptions apply:

Lead(Pb)

Mercury(Hg)

Cadmium(Cd)

Hexavalent Chromium (Cr(VI))

Polybrominated Biphenyls(PBB)

Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers(PBDE)

As a distributor we work proactively with manufactures to make sure they understand our customers
requirements. We are reliant on manufactures to bring their products into compliance with the
RoHS directive. MCC are currently pursueing a program to be RoHS compliant by the end of
2005.
